Every minute in Ireland…

She works in Mohill, she doesn’t live there. She’s a sculptor. Others call her a hairdresser. Once again she sculptured my head into a neat shape. She didn’t have blue colour. I hadn’t warned her that I wished a blue hue amongst the grey.

Longford has a shop where you can buy anything relating to hair and the art of beautifying. I love cathedrals. More so since I read Ken Follett’s Pillars of the Earth. Longford’s St. Mel’s Cathedral had burnt down some years ago – Christmas eve 2009. Apparently is was a magnificent building. See on YouTube https://youtu.be/qgR2BaFDwWU. It has since been restored, not the former glory according to Cait, -pronounced something like Cotch with a long o but not an oo, in the dear non-phonetical Irish language, she’s now 80, but a definitive modern glory, according to me. It was rebuilt in 5 years.

Nevertheless, coming back to the blue hue. I got this tube of blue hair-colour at the hair shop and used it this morning. It’s fun. Not as dashing and bright as I would have liked, but then again I was not prepared to do the ‘bleach with peroxide’ session beforehand.

What I was going to say was that every minute in Ireland, one minute goes by, don’t waste it, it’s gone in just one minute.

Now what!

Writing a first blog is quite daunting, I must say.  I was so exited when starting and had all kinds of ideas on what to write about. But I am still trying to figure out exactly what goes where and study the glossary and find things I have done which have just disappeared somewhere into the brain of this ingenious machine. As someone in my past used to say: ‘it only does what you tell it to…’

Wet web

Today is a cold and drizzly day outside. I fed the black cat twice already. The cat comes from ‘Idon’tknowwhere’. Gradually, over the past week or two, it has come to trust me a little. We’re not at the touchy-feely stage yet. If ever we will be. The Red Robin is sitting on the rim of the dish, picking out a morsel. The spider-webs are drizzled with tiny drops; don’t you agree that spider webs are one of the most fascinating phenomena of nature?

So now I’ve written a few words and inserted a picture hot from the camera and am enjoying a hot cup of Pukka tea : Lemongrass and ginger.

Please say what you think and be who you are and wear a bit of purple.
